📰 NEWSFLASH for November!
No, this has nothing to do with the elections!
I traveled last month and I felt like I went to heaven! I enjoyed four beautiful fall days in Aspen at the renowned boutique hotel, Little Nell, and its sister property, The Limelight, and then three nights at the magnificent Montage Deer Valley, which will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this December. These hotels, along with so many others, are working so hard to showcase their destinations and in my view, they are doing a marvelous job, alongside maintaining the COVID 19 protocols on property!
I had never been to Colorado and Utah outside of the ski season and I was thrilled to relish in active experiences, such as e biking 24 miles to Maroon Bells, one of the most photographed peaks in the US, riding the gondolas to Aspen Mountain to take in the stunning views, and dining at some chic dining venues. I was lucky enough to participate in auditioning a few new experiences that the Montage Deer Valley has created for our clients – some including fly fishing (a first for me) followed after by a sumptuous spread of charcuterie, cheeses, and chilled bottles of Whispering Angel Rosé, and a UTV adventure with Tracked Out Adventures (yes, UTC is Utility Terrain Vehicle and you can call me for more details!).
And to answer your questions, yes, I did fly commercially to Aspen and back from Salt Lake and enjoyed a lengthy 6 hour drive between the two destinations. Everything in and out of the airports went smoothly, with all travelers complying with the required protocols on the flights.
I know we are changing seasons and for those of us enduring winter in the Midwest, we all need something to look forward to…. Reach out to us – if you want a change. There are opportunities out there with safety protocols in place. Some hotels in the US have created back-to-school programs to complement distance learning for students. Montage Deer Valley launched Montage Academy where they offer students in-person activities beyond their virtual curriculum with a daily schedule broken into two sessions: study hall and electives at Montage Deer Valley. Along with so many other properties, the Four Seasons resorts is offering additional benefits should you extend your stay with them.
More and more destinations outside the US are opening up…from the shores of Caribbean islands to even a few of the Southern African and East African countries.
The CDC did lift the no sail order for cruise lines and this will allow the companies to pursue “a phased resumption of cruise ship passenger operations” with “a careful approach.” But if you are ready to sail now in 2020, consider a new, unique 7 nights voyage roundtrip Barbados with our amazing all-inclusive yachting partner, Sea Dream! They were one of the first cruise lines to resume operations after having successfully operated this summer in Norway with no COVID cases.
With these and more travel partners, we are keeping up to date with the latest travel regulations and entry requirements. And if you are not ready to venture out, we are always here for you when you are. We are in this together!
